Application Eligibility

To apply for nursing admission in 2025, candidates must meet specific requirements:

  1. Citizenship: Applicants must be permanent citizens of Bangladesh.

    • In private institutions, a maximum of 20% male candidates can be admitted to these courses.
    • The Diploma in Midwifery course is open only to female candidates.
  4. Academic Requirements:
    • BSc in Nursing (4 years): Must have passed SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent from the Science group. A minimum total GPA of 7.00 in both exams combined is required. However, the GPA in either SSC or HSC must not be below 3.00. Additionally, a minimum GPA of 2.50 in Biology in the HSC/equivalent exam is mandatory.
    • Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery (3 years) & Diploma in Midwifery (3 years): Must have passed SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent from any group. A minimum total GPA of 6.00 in both exams combined is required. The GPA in either SSC or HSC must not be below 2.50.

How to Apply?

The application process is conducted online through the Teletalk portal. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Visit Portal & Read Instructions: Go to http://bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. Click the link for admission instructions (ভর্তির নিয়মাবলি) and read them thoroughly before proceeding.
  2. Enter Academic Info: Input your SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination details. For most boards, your data will be verified automatically, and the application form will appear. (Candidates from Open University, Technical Board, O/A Level need to fill their information manually in the designated options).
  3. Select Quota (If Applicable): If you are eligible for a quota (e.g., Freedom Fighter, Tribal), click the relevant button. Note: Quota selection cannot be changed later. You must provide valid proof during admission if selected under a quota, otherwise admission will be cancelled.
  4. Verify Personal Details: Your name, parents’ names, date of birth, and grades will usually appear automatically. Verify these details.
  5. Enter Address: Fill in your Present Address. If your Permanent Address is the same, simply click the designated button.
  6. Provide Mobile Numbers: Enter an 11-digit mobile number that you always keep active. After fee payment, your User ID and Password will be sent via SMS to this number. Enter a second mobile number for backup contact. If you submit multiple applications, only the last one will be accepted.
  7. Choose Institutions (Choice Option): Select your preferred nursing colleges/institutes. Based on your chosen course (BSc, Diploma Nursing, Diploma Midwifery), a list of institutions will appear on the left. Highlight your preferred institution from the left list and click ‘Add’ to move it to the right list. Repeat this to add all your choices in order of preference to the right list. This right list is your final preference order. It is advisable to list many institutions to increase admission chances.
  8. Upload Photo & Signature: Browse and upload your pre-prepared photograph and signature from your computer or pen drive. Follow the size and format instructions provided on the portal. Online tools might be available if resizing is needed.
  9. Declaration & Submission: At the end of the page, click the Declaration checkbox and then click the ‘Submit’ button.
  10. Get User ID & Print Copy: After submission, you will see an Applicant’s Copy with your photo, signature, other information, and a User ID. Save this User ID carefully, as you will need it to pay the application fee via Teletalk prepaid mobile. Print the Applicant’s Copy and keep it safe.
  11. Pay Application Fee: Use your User ID and a Teletalk prepaid mobile phone to pay the application fee according to the instructions provided on the portal/SMS.

    • Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery: BDT 500/- (Five Hundred Taka)
  12. Final Confirmation: Your application is considered complete only after the fee payment is successfully processed via Teletalk. You should receive a confirmation SMS.

Admit Card Download

Successfully registered applicants can download their admit cards starting from Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The admit card must be downloaded from the official Teletalk portal: http://bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. Applicants will also be notified via SMS when the admit card is available. The admit card is essential for entering the examination hall and contains the candidate’s roll number, exam center details, and instructions. Candidates should download and print the admit card well before the exam date. If an admit card is lost, it can be downloaded again using the same link and process.

Admission Test Date/ Schedule

The nursing admission test for all courses (BSc and Diplomas) for the 2024-25 session is now scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025. The test will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (one hour duration). Candidates must report to their assigned examination centers before the scheduled time.

Seat Plan

Admission Test Result

The final selection of candidates is based on a total score of 150 marks, calculated as follows:

  • SSC/Equivalent GPA x 5 = 25 Marks (Maximum)
  • HSC/Equivalent GPA x 5 = 25 Marks (Maximum)
  • MCQ Admission Test Score = 100 Marks (Maximum)
  • Total = 150 Marks

To pass the admission test, a candidate must score at least 40 marks out of 100 in the MCQ exam. Candidates scoring 40 or above will be considered passed. A national merit list will be prepared based on the total score (GPA + MCQ).
